Matt has been a fishing and hunting guide for 6 years and has experience across central Canada to Cozumel, Mexico. Born and raised in Manitoba, Matt calls the central and eastern regions of the province his home waters. Matt got his start in guiding in Sioux Lookout, Ontario where he guides on the famous Lac Seul. He still actively guides in the area to this day. It was there he learned to become a true multi-species angler as he targeted walleye, muskie, northern pike, lake trout and smallmouth bass. After a few years studying his trade, Matt headed west into northern Saskatchewan where he began to guide on Wollaston Lake. It was during this time where Matt would spend his winters guiding deep sea fishing charters in Cozumel, Mexico. During his free time you can find him working on dive boats or chasing bonefish on the fly rod in Cozumel’s many lagoons and beaches. Matt also guides at Marshland Outfitters hunting lodge for spring and fall black bear hunts.
